UNITER widener model URW5 is self propelled machine powered by 49.5 hp diesel engine and it moves on road and receives material from dumper and conveys the material on left side The machine is equipped with blade which levels the material. The blade can spread material up to 30 cm below the road level. Height and slope of the blade can be easily controlled from operator panel as well as a panel provided on side of the machine. The blade has a 30 cm hydraulic extension for easy extension of the blade.

Advantages of using a road widener machine over conventional way of working are as under.

• High production capacity. The machine can lay material at a rate of 300 tones per hour. We have successfully widened road for length up to 2 Km per day. The machine makes the widening process very easy and fast.
•  High quality work. Since work is done by machine, once thickness and width is set properly, the machine can continuously do widening work at same width and level.
• Material saving. Since there is no need for storing the material at site and as it is directly laid at required level and width at the time of dumping, wastage of material is very less.

• No need for any other machine. No need for excavator or loader or backhoe loader as machine receives material in its hopper from dumper, dumps material on its side where widening is required and spreads and levels material.
